GOLAP KHA SHISHU SHODON
Golap Kha Shishu Sadan officially started on June 26, 2009 with 13 orphans and underprivileged children in their own land on the initiative of Most. Bilkis Banu and Md Rabiul Islam Khan, inhabitants of Collegepara under Nageshwari Upazila of Kurigram District. At present, the number of resident children in the children's home is 74 (50 male children and 24 female children). Golap Kha Shishu Sadan is run by Golap Kha Trust. Due to the increase in the number of children, a primary school was constructed in the premises of Shishu Sadan in 2013 for formal education. As the children grow up, secondary school is needed. Since 2014, secondary school has been giving lessons with great reputation. Also, 249 children of poor and underprivileged families are being given free education in the non-residential institution. Golap Kha Primary School has got teaching permission and Golap Kha Secondary School is in process of getting teaching permission. Chairman and Director of Golap Kha Trust met with Honourable Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina on the last 17/10/2019 for the overall success and development of the organization.
